We would like to inform you that Moxa will release Moxa Industrial Linux (MIL) v3.4.1 for the UC Series computers on October 28, 2025.
In MIL 3.4.0 released in last month, it introduced new commands in the Moxa Computer Interface Manager (MCIM) utility to make it easier to customize digital input (DI) and push-button (RESET or FN button) event scripts. However, we discovered that the legacy configuration methods supported in MIL 3.0 to 3.3?such as setting the push-button to restore a snapshot or trigger a user-defined script?were unintentionally not backward compatible in MIL 3.4.0.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. To correct this issue, we are releasing MIL 3.4.1, which restores backward compatibility along with other improvements. If you have provisioning scripts that rely on mx-interface-mgmt dio or mx-interface-mgmt button created under MIL 3.0?3.3, please ensure that you use MIL 3.4.1 instead of MIL 3.4.0.
Please review the details below to determine how these changes will affect your products and/or operations.

Bugs fixed:
-
Moxa Computer Interface Manager (MCIM):
- Fixed an issue where the legacy method for configuring push-button actions (supported in MIL 3.0?3.3) was not available in MIL 3.4.0; support has been restored in MIL 3.4.1
- Fixed an issue where the legacy method for configuring Digital Input (DI) event scripts (supported in MIL 3.0?3.3) was not supported in MIL 3.4.0; support is now restored in MIL 3.4.1
- [UC-1200A/UC-2200A only] Updated mount state handling logic to fix an issue where unexpected filesystem mounts could cause the SD/USB LED to turn off unexpectedly
- Fixed an issue where configuring the out-of- the -box UC cellular connection with a SIM card that has a PIN lock would fail to connect to the Internet until the system was rebooted
- Fixed unstable reconnections when connecting to Wi-Fi BSSIDs under the same SSID
- Fixed an issue where an unresponsive GPSD service caused MCM to stop working during GPS port sync by adding a timeout
- Fixed an issue where MCM v1.2/v1.3 configuration files became incompatible when upgrading to v1.7.5 (MIL 3.4.0) via v1.4 or v1.5. The issue did not occur when upgrading directly from v1.2/v1.3 to v1.7.5 or v1.4/v1.5 to v1.7.5
- Fix an issue where using the command mx-sw-updater upgrade --local to upgrade the system via the offline method may still require Internet access for dependency download.
- [UC-3400A only] Fixed an issue where the Wi-Fi interface could become unresponsive or fail to reconnect after recovering from MPM power conservation mode
